A binman has been found guilty of handling Victoria Beckham's stolen designer clothes.

A jury at Isleworth Crown Court in west London took an hour to find Mark Oliver, 20, guilty of two counts of handling the goods. An earlier charge of stealing the items was dropped.

The items included a lock of baby Brooklyn's hair and love messages from her husband David. Sentencing has been adjourned for reports.

Oliver was remanded on bail on the condition that he stays at his home in Stanwell Village, west London.

The court heard that Oliver had telephone conversations with the Spice Girl in which he told her he had found her possessions on a rubbish dump.

Victoria's luggage was stolen after she arrived back in London from Miami last April.

Inside four missing suitcases were designer clothes and a photograph of herself, her husband and their son.

On the photograph the Manchester United and England star had written "Happy Valentine's Day" and "Me and Daddy", the jury heard.

The luggage went missing during a transfer from Heathrow Airport to Manchester.
