Cork City take on St. Patrick’s Athletic tomorrow night at Turner’s Cross, with the Rebel Army looking to make up ground on the league leaders.
City have already faced the Saints twice this season in the Setanta Sports Cup suffering defeat on both occasions.
The Rebels go into the game on the back of a very disappointing 1-0 defeat away to Linfield in the Setanta Sports Cup semi-final.
"It is a game we are eagerly looking forward to. After the disappointment on Monday night’s defeat to Linfield, it will require a performance of great character," said Cork manager Damien Richardson.
"It will be a great challenge against the league leaders, a very in form team, but the game cannot come quick enough for us."
Richardson will be without the services of young defender Seán Kelly who has suffered a fractured cheekbone and will be out for the next 6-8 weeks.
The City boss also has concerns over forward John O’Flynn who was substituted as a precaution on Monday night with a thigh injury, although he is only rated as a slight doubt.
Richardson also welcomes Roy O’Donovan back from suspension.
