The OC: The Complete Second Season (Warner) could be described as a soap opera for teens, with its heady mixture of bruised relationships and egos, flawed characters and jealous rivalry among a group of families and friends in Newport Beach in Orange County.
It’s a formula that works extremely well, a kind of Dynasty and Dallas for younger folk with no JR figure in sight, or at least none with quite as much menace.
Oh, and there’s a beach instead of oil wells. Extras include one episode commentary and featurette.
