Cavan attacker Gerald Pierson is set to find out today whether his season is over or not as he undergoes a scan on his injured knee.
Cavan's top scorer picked up the injury after coming off the bench during a challenge match against Dublin on Monday.
The Gowna club man was taken to Cavan General Hospital with suspected cruciate ligament damage.
Selector Mickey Reilly admitted that even if the damage is not as serious as feared, Pierson will be a major doubt for their Ulster SFC clash with Antrim on May 29.
He said: "All the opinion we got after the match though was that it is probable cruciate ligament damage of the knee. But even if it isn't ligament trouble, it'll still be touch and go as to whether Gerald will be fit for the Antrim game."
