An early Daryl Fordyce goal booked Glentoran's unlikely passage through to the semi-final of the Setanta Sports Cup.

Glens will now travel to meet holders Drogheda United in the last four as St Patrick's season is in danger of unravelling to nothing.

Glens started well and got what proved the winner on six minutes.

Saints' keeper Barry Ryan failed to collect Grant Gardiner's corner and Daryl Fordyce scored with a looping header.
