Three arrested in Dublin drugs raid

Three men were arrested tonight after drugs squad officers seized 135 kilogrammes of cannabis.

Three men were arrested tonight after drugs squad officers seized 135 kilogrammes of cannabis.

Gardaí swooped on the gang at the Ranch area of Ballyfermot in west Dublin.

The drugs, which will be forensically tested, have an estimated street value of €1m.

The three men, one aged 24 and the others aged 35, where taken to Clondalkin Garda Station for questioning.

Gardaí also impounded a car and a van during the planned raid.

The men are being held under section two of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.

Gardaí from the Garda National Drugs Unit assisted by the officers from Ballyfermot and Clondalkin stations co-coordinated the operation.
