Foot and mouth: More checkpoints set up on the border

Further checkpoints have been put in place along the Louth-Armagh border in an attempt to prevent foot and mouth disease spreading to the Republic.

More than 500 gardai are manning the security points.

Superintendent John Farrelly said: "There are 154 checkpoints now, with 13 added since last night".
