Stranded passengers to fly home tonight

Around 200 passengers who were left stranded in Cyprus after Irish tour operator Fáilte Travel announced it was going out of business will be flown home tonight.

Around 200 passengers who were left stranded in Cyprus after Irish tour operator Fáilte Travel announced it was going out of business will be flown home tonight.

Alternative arrangements have been made for 50 Sunway Travel passengers who were also affected - they are due to arrive back in Dublin tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, the Irish Aviation Authority says there are some delays at Dublin Airport this evening but flights have generally returned to normal.

The airport's radar system shut down completely for a time on Wednesday causing long delays for thousands of passengers.
