New Zealanders are holding off their celebrations in the wake of 'The Lord of the Rings' Oscar triumph until director Peter Jackson returns home from the US.
Wellington mayor Kerry Prendergast said: "Any decision about the form of the tribute should involve Peter," so the "emphasis will be on getting it right, not getting it quickly".
The last instalment of the New Zealand-made trilogy won 11 awards last weekend, making Oscar history by cleaning up in every category for which it was nominated, including best film.
