Celtic defender Stanislav Varga has signed a two-year contract extension.

Celtic defender Stanislav Varga has signed a two-year contract extension.

The former Sunderland centre-back has been a revelation this season after a shaky beginning to his Parkhead career.

The Slovakia international, who was freed by the Black Cats in February 2003, has been a regular this season and is expected to be in the starting line-up against Dunfermline tomorrow as Celtic aim to add the Scottish Cup to the Bank of Scotland Premier League trophy they have already won.
