Taxi-drivers are expected to reveal later today whether or not they plan to target the Ryder Cup as part of their campaign against a new fare structure.
Hundreds of mainly Dublin-based drivers have threatened to disrupt the tournament as part of a series of stoppages they have arranged in protest at the reforms.
The new national fare structure, which is due to come into force on September 25, will lead to the abolition of luggage charges and the special pick-up fee at Dublin Airport.
The three main taxi unions say some of their members, particularly those in Dublin, could lose thousands of euro every year as a result.
They are due to hold further talks with the taxi regulator today before meeting among themselves to decide whether or not to target the Ryder Cup.
