Gardaí in Dundalk are seeking the public's assistance in tracing a missing 69-year-old man.

Gardaí in Dundalk are seeking the public's assistance in tracing a missing 69-year-old man.

John Tiernan is from Fr Murray Park in the County Louth town and he was last seen at his home on Christmas Eve.

He is described as being five foot nine inches tall, of heavy build, with grey hair and blue eyes.

When last seen, John was wearing a tartan hat, a dark fleece top and dark trousers.
