Three raiders steal more than €100,000 from Cork cash delivery van
Gardaí are searching for three raiders who held up a cash delivery van in Cork this afternoon.
The raiders are believed to have made away with more than €100,000.
The raid began this afternoon around 4.30pm at the MAXOL filling station outside Carrigaline in Cork.
Two raiders armed with sawn-off shotguns held up staff making a delivery to the ATM at the station.
It is believed they made away with a substantial amount of cash, possibly more than €100,000.
A third raider drove the getaway car, a black SAAB. It is believed to be the same car as one found burned out near Ballinora GAA club around five miles away this evening.
No one was injured in the raid.
Gardaí are at the scene and technical experts are carrying out a forensic examination. An armed Regional Support Unit is also providing back-up.
