Animal lover Anna Nicole Smith has hit out at supermodel Elle MacPherson, claiming the catwalk queen is planning to model a new line of fur.

Animal lover Anna Nicole Smith has hit out at supermodel Elle MacPherson, claiming the catwalk queen is planning to model a new line of fur.

Smith has urged 41-year-old Macpherson to change her mind.

She says:"Elle Macpherson, shame on you! I got word from a friend at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) that you're going to model a line of furs. Do you really want to promote the killing of these animals just so rich ladies can wear their fur as status symbols?

"Some of them are skinned alive. It's wrong and you know it. You're a beautiful and successful woman. You can't need the money that badly. Please stop wearing fur."
