PSNI: Man found in Armagh was shot

A man found unconscious on an Armagh road died from gunshot wounds, police said tonight.

A man found unconscious on an Armagh road died from gunshot wounds, police said tonight.

He was discovered on the Farnaloy Road, near the Maddern housing estate, around 6.30pm.

The PSNI initially said the man had suffered a head injury but later confirmed he had been shot more than once.

But a spokeswoman for the force said it was too early to confirm if the man was murdered.
