Circus worker critical after elephant attack

A circus worker is recovering in hospital after being trampled by an elephant in Co Waterford yesterday.

A circus worker is recovering in hospital after being trampled by an elephant in Co Waterford yesterday.

The man, believed to be in his 20s, was injured by the elephant when he entered its enclosure at the Circus New York in Tramore.

He is in a critical but stable condition in hospital this morning.
