The funeral of former UDA 'brigadier' Jim Gray is taking place in east Belfast this morning.

The 47-year-old's funeral service is being held at his father's house in Knockwood Park, where he was shot dead last Tuesday night.

Gray was expelled from the UDA last March and had been on bail awaiting trial on money-laundering charges at the time of his murder.

The PSNI believes he was killed by his former colleagues in the UDA, who were apparently resentful of his flashy lifestyle funded by drug dealing.

Six people were arrested after his murder, but all were later released without charge.
