Insurance industry wants measures introduced before election

The Irish insurance industry is calling on the Government to come good on the initiatives it announced last year before the general election.

The Irish insurance industry is calling on the Government to come good on the initiatives it announced last year before the general election.

Bodies such as the Personal Injuries Assessment Board and the Financial Services Regulatory Authority, which the Government says it wants to introduce, should be set up now according to the insurance industry.

A spokesman for the Irish Insurance Federation says that the pension bill and the road traffic bill must be brought in now in order to lower insurance prices.
