Hopes were fading tonight for a woman who disappeared from a caravan park party more than a week ago.

Despite desperate pleas by her family for Lisa Dorrian to come home there has been no trace of her since she left the party in Ballyhalbert, Co Down.

Police returned to the seaside village today to hand out leaflets and quiz drivers in a bid to jog people’s memory.

At the weekend, police divers joined air and land searches for the 25-year-old shop assistant from the nearby town of Bangor.

Detectives investigating her disappearance have not ruled out a crime.

Her father John made an emotional appeal to his daughter.

He said: “If she is out there and sees all this involvement by the police and the media it doesn’t matter.

“Don’t worry about it, come back. Just please come back.”

Her elder sister Joanne said the family’s nightmare was getting worse as each day passed.

She urged anyone with information to come forward: “Someone somewhere out there knows something.” Ms Dorrian was last seen at around 5am on Monday, leaving her handbag and personal belongings at the scene of the party.

Property owners in the area have been urged to check garages and outhouses for anything suspicious.

The missing woman is 5ft 4ins in height, of thin build with blonde hair.

She was wearing a white short sleeved top with lettering on it, cream combat trousers and a pair of white furry moon boots.
