Van Morrison will premiere his new show at Sligo Live in October.
Ireland ’s folk, roots and indie music festival returns for its eighth year this October with a programme spanning six days over the October Bank Holiday Weekend, October 24-29.
Van will present a show called “Lyrics and Poetry: Emphasis on words' on Sunday, October 28, at IT Sligo's Knocknarea Arena with his rhythm section performing songs with a strong emphasis on words, together with readings from his poetry.
Songs from his albums, “Astral Weeks”, “No Guru, No Method, No Teacher” and “Hymns to the Silence” will feature in the show.
Tickets go on sale from www.Sligolive.ie on Friday June 29 at 10am (€47.50 plus €1 Service charge), with a limit of eight tickets per order.
A limited number of weekend tickets at €112 will enable music lovers to enjoy all of Sligo Live including Van Morrison and Joan Armatrading.
