A Limerick man has gone on trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl over three years ago.
The 26-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to ten counts of sexually assaulting the girl on dates between September 2005 and July 2006.
Prosecution counsel, Ms Anne Marie Lawlor BL, told the jury that it would hear evidence of how the man started sexually assaulting the now 16-year-old complainant when she started secondary school.
Ms Lawlor said the jury would hear that the man sexually assaulted the complainant when she stayed at the house he shared with her older sister, who was his girlfriend at the time.
The trial continues before Judge Patrick McCarton and a jury of seven men and five women.
