The judge reviewing the decision to refuse Christmas parole to jailed loyalist paramilitary leader Johnny Adair has indicated that he may not be able to deliver a judgement today.
Mr Justice Kerr said Adair's legal team had put forward a strong case. The special high court sitting is expected to continue this afternoon.
Adair was jailed for 16 years in 1995 for directing terrorism.
The notorious loyalist paramilitary, leader of the UDA’s infamous C Company on the Shankill Road, was originally released under the terms of the Good Friday Agreement in September 1999.
But his licence was revoked in August 2000 after police said he was involved in a bitter loyalist feud which left seven men dead.
