A Galway restaurant has been named the only restaurant in Ireland to be honoured this year by ‘The Wine Spectator’ for having ‘one of the most outstanding wine lists in the world’.
Now in its 25th. Year, the annual ‘Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards’ list provides a guide to restaurants that set themselves apart with thoughtful and ambitious wine programs.
Of the 748 new entries from around the world judged this year, 606 have won the award with, The Malt House Restaurant in Galway the sole winner in Ireland.
“This is truly a phenomenal achievement and elevates us to international acclaim”, says Fergus O’ Halloran, the General Manager of The Malt House.
The Wine Spectator’s August 31st. edition – ‘The Best Restaurants in the World for Wine Lovers’ lists the restaurants which have won the award in 2005.
