Gardai have recovered five paintings stolen from Russborough house in Blessington last September.
One man was arrested in connection with the art works. The paintings are part of the 150-strong Alfred Beit collection.
The two Rubens are Portrait of a Dominican Monk and Venus Supplicating Mars. The other works recovered were The Corn Field by Jacob Van Ruisdael, The Calm Sea by Wilem Van Dervelde and The Adoration of the Sheppard by Adrien Van Ostade.
Both The Corn Field and Portrait of a Dominican Monk had been previously stolen in a raid by "The General", Martin Cahill, in 1986.
