The Labour party is set to introduce a range of changes within the organisation at its conference this March.

The changes, which will include the adoption of a new party constitution, will be based on the findings of the 21st Century Labour Commission.

It is part of an effort to modernise the party through an overhaul of its structure and methods.

Party leader Eamon Gilmore said it will mean a more hands-on approach for members and supporters.
