€300,000 from dormant bank accounts has been allocated to fund and support projects in the Clondalkin area, according to Fianna Fáil TD John Curran.

Five projects are approved for funding, including Quarryvale Family Resource Centre (€149,799), Ronanstown Community Development (€80,000), Clondalkin Partnership (€40,000) and Clondalkin Centre for the Unemployed (€20,000). South Dublin County Council is also to receive €10,000 to promote community participation in environmental projects.

“I am very pleased that a significant level of dormant accounts spending will go directly towards projects in Clondalkin areas designated by Government as suffering from particular disadvantage,” said Mr Curran. “These allocations will have a measurable impact in supporting very worthwhile projects in these areas.”
