Classic Harold Lloyd collection worth a look
Harold Lloyd is less appreciated on this side of the world, ranking behind such comic geniuses as Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton, but his work deserves a fresh look.
The Harold Lloyd Collection (Optimum, €61.99) runs to nine discs and brings together an abundance of shorts and features that show the bespectacled character at his best.
Among them the highlights are Safety Last! where he finds himself dangling off the hands of a skyscraper clock and Girl Shy, which features one of the great chase scenes.
