Irish international Stephen Carr could be out of Premiership action with Tottenham for at least two weeks as it looks increasingly likely he will need surgery on a nagging groin problem.

Irish international Stephen Carr could be out of Premiership action with Tottenham for at least two weeks as it looks increasingly likely he will need surgery on a nagging groin problem.

Carr is already definitely out of Saturday's clash with Everton and is extremely doubtful for the following weekend's home clash with Southampton.

However, Spurs are hoping that intensive treatment along with a rest period will put off the need for surgery.
