The National Implementation Body met yesterday regarding the ongoing situation at Aer Lingus and has since issued a statement.
The NIB met separately with representatives of the company and IMPACT.
It noted that despite the Labour Court's efforts to resolve the dispute, there was a "striking divergence" between the parties.
The NIB requested the Court revisit the case and issue a final recommendation as a matter of urgency, as to the scale and extent of change appropriate to the payment in question.
It requested the parties cooperate with the Court and, if it intervenes, be aware of their obligations under the industrial peace and stabilisation provisions of the national pay agreement.
