The President of Finland begins a state visit to Ireland today.

The President of Finland begins a state visit to Ireland today.

Tarja Halonen arrives at Dublin Airport this evening.

During her visit the President will meet our President Mary McAleese as well as the Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

This is Ms Halonen's second term in office and she is the first woman to hold the post.
