Baby daughter for Hear'Say's Klass

TV presenter and former Hear'Say star Myleene Klass is celebrating the birth of her baby daughter today.

TV presenter and former Hear'Say star Myleene Klass is celebrating the birth of her baby daughter today.

Baby Ava was born three and a half weeks early weighing 5lbs 9oz.

Klass, 29, gave birth in a London hospital at 1.45pm with fiancé Graham Quinn by her side.

Klass will now take time off from presenting BBC1’s The One Show.

The Marks and Spencers model went into labour last night shortly after co-hosting the programme at BBC Television Centre.

Her spokesman said: “Myleene had a problem-free labour, and mother and baby are doing well. She and Graham are ecstatic. The baby is named Ava Quinn.”

He explained: “Myleene presented The One Show and felt a bit weird on the way home. She went to the hospital to get checked out and they told her she was in labour.

“The birth went very smoothly and all is well, but her stint on the show is obviously over for now. She is looking forward to returning to work after some time off with Ava.”

Klass co-hosts the daily programme with Adrian Chiles.

Her colleagues on The One Show said: “We’re delighted and thrilled for Myleene.”

She will be replaced during her maternity leave by presenter Christine Bleakley.
