Prince Charles visiting Ireland next month

Clarence House have confirmed that Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will visit the Repulic of Ireland and N. Ireland between May 19 and 22.

Their itinerary is still a work in progress, but there is speculation that it could include a visit to Mullaghmore in Co Sligo, where Charles' great-uncle Lord Louis Mountbatten was killed in an IRA bombing in 1979.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs Charlie Flanagan has welcomed the news and says the visit will be a further expression of the warm and friendly relations which now exist between Ireland and the UK.
