Gardaí in Mullingar are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s was hit by a lorry and killed yesterday evening.

Gardaí in Mullingar are appealing for witnesses after a man in his 20s was hit by a lorry and killed yesterday evening.

The incident occurred at around 5.45pm on the N4 Mullingar bypass.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Mullingar Garda Station on 044-9384000.
