AA: Petrol prices to reach record high in coming weeks
The AA has predicted that petrol prices will reach record highs in Ireland in the coming weeks.
The current record is 102.7c per litre, which was recorded last November.
Prices did fall back slightly since then, but reports this morning said they had jumped again to an average of 101.9c per litre.
The AA said rising international oil prices and strength of the US dollar against the euro meant further increases were virtually certain in the next few weeks.
