Gardaí appeal for information after crashes claim lives in Dublin and Mayo

Gardaí in counties Dublin and Mayo are appealing for information after two men in their 20s died in separate road accidents yesterday.

Gardaí in counties Dublin and Mayo are appealing for information after two men in their 20s died in separate road accidents yesterday.

In the first incident, two vans collided at about 5pm on the R321 at Carrowcastle, Bahola, Co Mayo.

The driver of one of the vans was brought to Mayo General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A second man - also in his 20s - suffered minor injuries in the same crash.

In Dublin, a man in his late 20s was pronounced dead at Tallaght hospital after the motorbike he was driving collided with a car in Palmerstown, in Dublin.

His passanger - another man - is being treated in hospital for his injuries.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened on Station Road, Palmerstown, at about a 8.15pm yesterday.
