A county Wexford boy has been awarded an interim settlement of €3.8m after being left paralysed following a delayed treatment for meningitis.
12-year-old Matthew McGrath did not receive antibiotics for over 12 hours after being admitted to Wexford General Hospital which admitted liability.
The High Court settlement is an interim one to cover five years of his care.
His family Solicitor Roger Murray, says that although Matthew faces many challenges he is a bright boy with a love of sport.
