Jade Goody has been forced to drop out of her panto role due to health fears over a blocked kidney, it was announced today.

Goody has been undergoing treatment for cancer and she was having surgery to tackle the kidney problem today.

The mother-of-two has been playing the Wicked Queen in a production of 'Snow White' at the Theatre Royal, Lincoln, where her “guts and determination” have been praised.

A statement issued on behalf of the production said: “With concerns for her health and recovery it has been decided that it would be better for Jade not to try and continue playing the part of Wicked Queen in the pantomime at the Theatre Royal in Lincoln.

“Jade will be missed by the whole company. She has been 100% professional from the first day of rehearsals, a real asset to the production and has won great admiration from her colleagues and all the management at the theatre for her amazing strength, guts and determination.

“We will miss her, wish her a speedy and long lasting recovery and would hope that some time in the future we may have her back on stage in another production.”

Goody was on the Indian version of 'Big Brother' last year when she discovered she had cervical cancer.

The Bermondsey-born star jetted home after show producers called her to the diary room to break the devastating news.

She was given a 50-50 chance of survival and had to undergo a hysterectomy after learning her cancer had spread to her womb.
