Defiant to the end, Liberian President Charles Taylor resigned today but said: “God willing, I will be back.”

Defiant to the end, Liberian President Charles Taylor resigned today but said: “God willing, I will be back.”

His deputy, Moses Blah, was immediately sworn as the new president of the war torn West African nation.

Taylor, who has been indicted for war crimes by the UN, is expected to fly into exile in Nigeria.
