Knock Airport expects 60% traffic increase for 2004

Knock International Airport today, has announced its Summer 2004 charter flights schedule offering sun charter flights, city break flights to major European cities and flights to the major European pilgrimage destinations.

Knock International Airport today, has announced its Summer 2004 charter flights schedule offering sun charter flights, city break flights to major European cities and flights to the major European pilgrimage destinations.

Passenger numbers for all of the 2004 charter flights are expected to reach 50,000 people, an increase of 60% on 2003.

Desmond O'Flynn, Marketing and Sales Manager, Knock International Airport, said: "We are committed to offering the widest range of destinations to our passengers and to leading the way as Ireland's fastest growing international airport.

"We believe the choice of destinations on offer this summer from Knock International Airport will appeal strongly to leisure travellers across the Border Midlands and Western (BMW) region."

For the first time Knock International Airport will offer flights to Capetown, South Africa from November.

Flights to the major European shrine destinations of Lourdes, Fatima and Medjugorje will operate between May and September.
