Thirty new jobs are on the way for Co Cavan.

Lagan Brick is hiring for its operations at Drumgill in Kingscourt.

The company said it was expanding in response to the upturn in the economy and due to increased demand for bricks in the UK market.

Twenty of the jobs are to come on stream immediately, with 10 more in the pipeline when a second phase of development is completed.
