Frankie Dettori was pleased with Sander Camillo’s work-out on Wednesday morning ahead of the Stan James 1000 Guineas.
The Italian rider, who has won the 1000 Guineas twice before with Cape Verdi (1998) and Kazzia (2002), told the Racing Post: “She seems fine. I’m very happy with her and she hasn’t tied up or anything.
“Let’s see on Sunday, but may the best horse win.”
Sander Camillo, second to Scarlet Runner in the Nell Gwyn on her seasonal debut last month, is an 11-2 chance with sponsors Stan James for the Newmarket Classic at the weekend.
