The building contractor Tom Brennan is still in the witness box at the Flood Tribunal.

Tribunal lawyers continue to ask him about an alleged payment that was made to former Minister Ray Burke.

The Co Meath developer has also been asked about a series of companies that acquired land and built houses throughout the 1980’s.

The Tribunal has heard today how Mr Brennan and a colleague, Mr McGowan took out several loans on the basis of buying houses but these funds ended up in bank accounts in Jersey.

It has been established that it was from these funds that Mr Burke received a payment of £60,000.
