Two of reggae great Bob Marley’s sons have been arrested in Florida after officers found marijuana in their car.

Julian Marley, 26, and Stephen Marley, 29, also reggae musicians, were charged with possessing less than 20 grams of marijuana, which is a misdemeanour.

They were booked into the Gadsden County Jail in Quincy, paid €570 bail each and were released.

The brothers, who live in Miami, were in a car stopped for speeding near Tallahassee.

A Highway Patrol trooper said he smelled pot, and said one of the brothers, Stephen, later admitted he’d been smoking marijuana.

The Highway Patrol said a search turned up four marijuana cigarettes in Julian Marley’s jacket and three more under the front passenger seat.

Bob Marley died of cancer in 1981, aged 36.
