A US multinational has announced plans to lay off 200 workers in Co Westmeath.

A US multinational has announced plans to lay off 200 workers in Co Westmeath.

The news was broken to staff at Manufacturing Services Ltd in Athlone during a meeting with management today.

MSL, which makes printed circuit boards, said the redundancies were necessary as part of a worldwide restructuring operation.
