Labour is launching its General Election campaign in counties Wicklow and Wexford today.

Labour is launching its General Election campaign in counties Wicklow and Wexford today.

Party leader Eamon Gilmore will be on hand to promote the group's three candidates in the Wicklow constituency, which has five seats to fill.

The hopefuls are Anne Ferris, Councillor Tom Fortune and Councillor Conal Kavanagh.

Deputy Gilmore will then travel to Wexford, where two candidates will be vying for one of five spots on election day.

Former Deputy Leader of the party Brendan Howlin is hoping to hold on to his seat, while Councillor Pat Cody is aiming to be elected to the Dáil for the first time.
