Jennifer Aniston says she would like to quit Friends so she and Brad Pitt can start a family.

There is speculation that the ninth season of Friends which is currently showing in the States could be its last.

Aniston told US magazine Entertainment Weekly: "In my mind I'm done. I want to start my family."

The actress was placed 11th in an Entertainment Weekly list of the top 12 entertainers in Hollywood.

She received rave reviews for her role as a bored shop worker in The Good Girl and could even receive a best actress Oscar nomination for her performance next year.

Aniston says that playing the adulterous and depressed Good Girl character challenged her in a way she relished.

She says: "You don't have to deal with that much on Friends. You just get to say a good joke and give a good reaction."
