A man is due in court in the UK today, accused of murdering his wife 28 years ago.

A man is due in court in the UK today, accused of murdering his wife 28 years ago.

Teacher Carol Park was 30 when she vanished in July 1976. Her body was discovered in 1997 at the bottom of Coniston Water in the Lake District.

Her husband Gordon Park, 59, from Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, was yesterday charged with murder.

He will appear at Barrow-in-Furness Magistrates Court.
