Mick Channon is pleased he resisted running Flashy Wings in the Boylesports Irish 1000 Guineas and is saving her for the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Winner of her first four races all over sprint trips, the daughter of Zafonic disappointed on her seasonal bow when just 11th on soft ground in the Stan James 1000 Guineas Stakes earlier this month.
Channon said: “The ground would have been totally wrong for her at the Curragh and it would be good to see a bit of summer sunshine ahead of Ascot as she doesn’t want it soft.”
