Ratings agency Standards and Poor's has downgraded Greece's credit worthiness by two notches.
It follows expectations the country will have to borrow money under emergency European stability plans.
It has also cut the foreign currency credit rating on Portugal by one notch because of the risk it may pose by borrowing from the European Union.
