Barack Obama has won New Hampshire and its four electoral votes, projections have shown.

Barack Obama has won New Hampshire and its four electoral votes, projections have shown.

The state saw two great comebacks for Mr McCain and Mr Obama’s former rival Hillary Clinton during the primary season and did not hold good memories for Mr Obama.

Once seen as Republican, it was decided by thin margins in the past two presidential elections and was the only state in the nation to vote for Mr Bush in 2000 and then for Democratic nominee John Kerry in 2004.
